Android wifi dropouts [Solved]

Took me a while, but finally got around to fixing wifi drop outs on my ageing Samsung Galaxy S (GT-I9000). The firmware is version 2.3.5, build GINGERBREAD.BVJVC.

It turns out there is a bug in the firmware where if your router is set to infinite DHCP lease time then your phone will try to reconnect every approximately 150 seconds.

Solution: Just change the lease time to a large but non-infinite value.
